When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Asa Jacobsson sped through Deportivo Tood's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roberto Lapurdi. In the 15th minute Asa Jacobsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, David Lizbeth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Dennis Jacobsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Deportivo Tood's Roberto Lapurdi. Roberto Lapurdi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 21 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Svante Sigman. After 29 minutes, David Lizbeth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Tood and the Golden Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Deportivo Tood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Lizbeth to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match Sven Lind sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roberto Lapurdi skillfully saved the ball. Deportivo Tood's Roberto Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Jacobsson in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Deportivo Tood booed when Golden Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svante Sigman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes, Deportivo Tood's Antonio Bertin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maria Jacobsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Tood reached it. Deportivo Tood were furious when Reynaldo Cordarius was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 42nd minute, Reynaldo Cordarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andres Dantel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Golden Lions FC's Alex Nordström got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fabian Majman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Lapurdi made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Asa Jacobsson sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Golden Lions FC's Fabian Majman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roberto Lapurdi. That made the score 0-4 after 57 minutes of play. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when Deportivo Tood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dennis Jacobsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roberto Lapurdi. That made the score 0-5 in the 66 minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Dennis Jacobsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roberto Lapurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Jacobsson in the 87th minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Antonio Bertin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maria Jacobsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Maria Jacobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Garikoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Golden Lions FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
