Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Károly Tolnay in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johann Scheuerer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Károly Tolnay came free, but Johann Scheuerer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Károly Tolnay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johann Scheuerer. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Károly Tolnay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 15 minutes, Károly Tolnay made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Halil Winskowsky made the kick off in the second half. Johann Scheuerer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Károly Tolnay, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute of the match Szombathely Squirrels got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vince Sós ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sascha Andre Rennert kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Steffen Rotheuler got a free kick in the 59th minute. Szombathely Squirrels's Vince Sós couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rot-Weiss-Essen. If Károly Tolnay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Károly Tolnay notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer. Johann Scheuerer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lars Oliver Dorn struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Róbert Kormos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rot-Weiss-Essen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Károly Tolnay in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johann Scheuerer saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Sós came free, but Johann Scheuerer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Szombathely Squirrels fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Szombathely Squirrels's Károly Tolnay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 80 minutes, Károly Tolnay made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ottó Vámosi kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Vince Sós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johann Scheuerer was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. 91 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Halil Winskowsky sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Róbert Kormos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Károly Tolnay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johann Scheuerer was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. Szombathely Squirrels walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
