Navigators's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cenan Suer in the 5th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cenan Suer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marnix de Jaeger quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 8th minute, Ali Kürşat Uma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marnix de Jaeger was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Springplank FC's attentive Klaas Boschker managed to snatch the ball when Demircan Sabir made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. Navigators's Hayati Işık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaas Boschker in the 12th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Marnix de Jaeger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ali Kürşat Uma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marnix de Jaeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Kürşat Uma in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Hayyam İpekli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Eric Borker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayati Işık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marnix de Jaeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Kürşat Uma in the 33rd minute of play. If Ali Kürşat Uma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cenan Suer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Marnix de Jaeger made a huge save. After 42 minutes, Pieter Ooijer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Springplank FC and the Navigators players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Cenan Suer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marnix de Jaeger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alphan Çırakoğlu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Navigators made a substitution. Sefa Zeyyat replaced Turgay Şeren. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jari Litmanen to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Cenan Suer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marnix de Jaeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Kürşat Uma took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marnix de Jaeger. Marnix de Jaeger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute of the match Navigators got a corner. Springplank FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cenan Suer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Kürşat Uma during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute Sefa Zeyyat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marnix de Jaeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Kürşat Uma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marnix de Jaeger having to make a save. 95 minutes into the game, Çağrı Keramettin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Marnix de Jaeger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Navigators were the better team. Navigators's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
