STRAY CATS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Felizberto EC the free kick. The supporters of Felizberto EC booed when STRAY CATS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Ramond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Fernando Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Edgardo Astrada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 7 minutes, Andrézinho Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Felizberto EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Tiaguinho Vander notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of STRAY CATS FC's Edgardo Astrada. Edgardo Astrada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgardo Astrada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvério da Silveira went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Felizberto EC's Frank da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ezequiel Aguirre charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Aguirre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Ezequiel Aguirre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 20 minutes, Silvério da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ezequiel Aguirre was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Edgardo Astrada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Frank da Mata struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Edgardo Astrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Felizberto EC. Edgardo Astrada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Silvério da Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgardo Astrada. STRAY CATS FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvério da Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 44 minutes into the game, Felizberto EC's Tiaguinho Vander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgardo Astrada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Cebrian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Ramond got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Jorge Ramond kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Frank da Mata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but STRAY CATS FC's Edgardo Astrada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, STRAY CATS FC's Dalmacio Cebrian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gil Marinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgardo Astrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério da Silveira in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank da Mata in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Astrada saved STRAY CATS FC from getting behind. When Hernan Chesus fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STRAY CATS FC's protests and gave Hernan Chesus a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Felizberto EC booed when STRAY CATS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Chesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hernan Chesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of STRAY CATS FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Felizberto EC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Edgardo Astrada, was totally fooled by Felizberto EC's Hortêncio Andrade, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some careless play in the STRAY CATS FC defense, Frank da Mata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgardo Astrada. The STRAY CATS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgardo Astrada should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Silvério da Silveira took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Edgardo Astrada to make any attempt to save it. Gilberto Pacifico kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Felizberto EC's Hortêncio Andrade tried to score from far away in the 101st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Felizberto EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
