After having played for 7 minutes, Luisão Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibirama Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisão Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgardo Astrada came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibirama Futebol Clube's Manfredo Guedes. But to his dismay, Manfredo Guedes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisão Sabóia got free with Edgardo Astrada in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Dênis Terra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Astrada was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. With a little luck, STRAY CATS FC's Edgardo Astrada got control of the ball when Manfredo Guedes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Saul Laurgain put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of STRAY CATS FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ibirama Futebol Clube:s goal. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Ibirama Futebol Clube. Luisão Sabóia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgardo Astrada. 5-0. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Ibirama Futebol Clube's Dênis Terra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 39th minute, Dênis Terra made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Astrada. STRAY CATS FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dênis Terra in the 46th minute of play forced STRAY CATS FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, STRAY CATS FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Astrada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luisão Sabóia. Ezequiel Aguirre charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Aguirre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when STRAY CATS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Aguirre didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Aguirre to make the kick off. Edgardo Astrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dênis Terra in the 54th minute of play. STRAY CATS FC's Edgardo Astrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Sabóia in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Sabóia in the 58th minute of play forced STRAY CATS FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 minutes of play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Dênis Terra made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgardo Astrada was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorge Ramond kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Dênis Terra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Astrada was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. Dalmacio Cebrian kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, STRAY CATS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Terra came free, but Edgardo Astrada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dênis Terra scored 12-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgardo Astrada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edgardo Astrada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dênis Terra took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgardo Astrada. Edgardo Astrada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. If Dênis Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Astrada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute, Luisão Sabóia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Astrada was frozen by the shot and now it was 14-0. Edgardo Astrada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisão Sabóia took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgardo Astrada. Edgardo Astrada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 15-0. Ibirama Futebol Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
