When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Luiz Fábio Gaúcho took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Konrad Rzentkowski to make any attempt to save it. Marco Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Narbut in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Luiz Fábio Gaúcho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Konrad Rzentkowski. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Botafogo MZRJ's Marco Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Narbut in the 19th minute of play. When Fernandão Batista fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botafogo MZRJ's protests and gave Fernandão Batista a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Fernandão Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldinho Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldinho Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Botafogo MZRJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Jan Nakonieczny hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Botafogo MZRJ's Zé Roberto Paranaense got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Konrad Rzentkowski made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho was the one to do the kick off. Konrad Rzentkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Gaúcho in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th minute Luiz Fábio Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konrad Rzentkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cido Nóbrega scored 5-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Konrad Rzentkowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of FC Lupus booed when Botafogo MZRJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes Botafogo MZRJ got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Paranaense. With a little luck, Botafogo MZRJ's Marco Ramos got control of the ball when Iwan Bobrowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC Lupus booed when Botafogo MZRJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Ramos made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ksawery Dziura sent off a good shot on target.
