With a little luck, Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez got control of the ball when Charles de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gogo Gimenez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Charles de Moraes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Amancio Pacorro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gil Prata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gogo Gimenez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Aureliano Quirce fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imperio Académico's protests and gave Aureliano Quirce a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Imperio Académico defense, Jaime Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gogo Gimenez. The Imperio Académico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gogo Gimenez should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Imperio Académico's goalkeeper Gogo Gimenez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Trevisan. Gogo Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel de Mendonça in the 30th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Gogo Gimenez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35th minute, Amancio Pacorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Amancio Pacorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Imperio Académico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Jailson de Sousa scored to the left of an out of position Gogo Gimenez, making the score, 3-1. After some careless play in the UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C defense, Melchor Joachim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Prata. The UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Prata should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aureliano Quirce to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Charles de Moraes made a precise shot to the right of Gogo Gimenez. Imperio Académico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. After a defensive mix-up in UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's zone, Aldo Tano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Prata came out of the goal and Aldo Tano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Jailson de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Gimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Imperio Académico's Eulalio Pitin was substituted for Faustino Regis. Imperio Académico made a substitution. Osvaldo Dodorol replaced Melchor Joachim. Gogo Gimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles de Moraes in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Aureliano Quirce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Telmo Ortiz put in a rough tackle. Telmo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Eulalio Pitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gogo Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles de Moraes in the 90th minute of the match. Gogo Gimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson de Sousa in the 91st minute of play. Osvaldo Dodorol's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gil Prata firmly grabbed it by the left post. UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
