After 19 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Prado. Teobaldo Orlanda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Fabiano Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cacerola's Guillermo Paz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Cacerola from getting a goal against them. Guillermo Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Lucas in the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of AVAÍ F.C. booed when Cacerola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Orlanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Joaquim Ceresso fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVAÍ F.C.'s protests and gave Joaquim Ceresso a yellow card for diving instead. Cacerola made a substitution. Sergio Lekubegi replaced Celso Ofelio. In the 36th match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anderson Mattos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to AVAÍ F.C. getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Murilo Martins hit a great ball. Guillermo Paz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute Anderson Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Paz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Murilo Martins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AVAÍ F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With a little luck, AVAÍ F.C.'s Fabiano Lima got control of the ball when Narciso Argoitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antonio Bermudo's late challenge caught a AVAÍ F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Bermudo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cacerola's Antonio Bermudo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 96th match minute, Cacerola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Panfilo to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AVAÍ F.C. had played much better football throughout.
