Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermegildo Abeitia in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sjoerd Brinks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Klaas Numan charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaas Numan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Klaas Numan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Kikkert took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guaberto Piorno. Guaberto Piorno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With his leg Guaberto Piorno managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Who Ate All Depay's Kurt van der Schans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Who Ate All Depay's Jonathan Kikkert slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guaberto Piorno. That made the score 2-0 after 24 minutes of play. After 30 minutes StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Johan Stolte who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Klaas Numan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 36 minutes into the match, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Stef Roordink came free, but Guaberto Piorno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Abeitia to make the kick off. 56 minutes in the game, Aquiles Iruinea fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sjoerd Brinks having to interfere. Aquiles Iruinea hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Eliseo Mantzio charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Mantzio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mantzio. In the 66th minute of the match Johan Stolte sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guaberto Piorno skillfully saved the ball. If Ermegildo Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes, Aquiles Iruinea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 and the Who Ate All Depay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Klaas Numan struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Guaberto Piorno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Who Ate All Depay. The supporters of StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 booed when Who Ate All Depay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. John van der Werff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Who Ate All Depay's Sjoerd Brinks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Florian in the 76th minute of play. Guaberto Piorno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Kikkert in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Vachon to maneuver through the defense. Sjoerd Brinks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Urbez in the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Ermegildo Abeitia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sjoerd Brinks. Sjoerd Brinks yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
