An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Cearense in the 5th minute of play forced Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Jurand Waselenczuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Purple Shadows's Boguslaw Lamczyk got a free kick in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Purple Shadows's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Cearense came free, but Jurand Waselenczuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Purple Shadows's Boguslaw Lamczyk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miguel Pereira. Miguel Pereira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Jarocewicz in the 13th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Miguel Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Artur Rode's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Pereira was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Jurand Waselenczuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Jurand Waselenczuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Cardoso in the 21st minute of the match. Jurand Waselenczuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doriva Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Márcio Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Boguslaw Lamczyk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Pereira skillfully saved the ball. Jurand Waselenczuk came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Sílvio Pires. But to his dismay, Sílvio Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jurand Waselenczuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manoel Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Purple Shadows's Jurand Waselenczuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Amorim in the 33rd minute of play. Miguel Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Rode in the 35th minute of the match. Jurand Waselenczuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Quintal in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Purple Shadows's goal looked a bit too open when Manoel Loureiro came free, but Jurand Waselenczuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Cearense in the 41st minute of play forced Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Jurand Waselenczuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurand Waselenczuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Cearense in the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Purple Shadows's zone, Jailson Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jurand Waselenczuk came out of the goal and Jailson Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manoel Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as ATHLETICO PRaiano's Jailson Cearense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jurand Waselenczuk. That made the score 1-2 after 52 minutes of play. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Purple Shadows! The goalkeeper, Jurand Waselenczuk, was totally fooled by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Jailson Cearense, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Jailson Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Cardoso in the 60th minute of play forced Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Jurand Waselenczuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Ryszard Moizuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Antônio Carlos Zarubin made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jurand Waselenczuk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Miguel Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boguslaw Cisek, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Miguel Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Moizuk in the 80th minute of play. Boguslaw Lamczyk's late challenge caught a ATHLETICO PRaiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boguslaw Lamczyk helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Purple Shadows got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Lamczyk. After some careless play in the ATHLETICO PRaiano defense, Ryszard Moizuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Pereira. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Pereira should have stopped the shot. If Doriva Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurand Waselenczuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manoel Loureiro in the 89th minute of play. The Purple Shadows fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ATHLETICO PRaiano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
