If Márcio Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Paulo Almeida's late challenge caught a Stat Veritas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Paulo Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's José Paulo Almeida got a free kick in the 6th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Gol in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Orlin saved Stat Veritas FC from getting behind. Márcio Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Orlin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Stat Veritas FC's zone, Antonio Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Orlin came out of the goal and Antonio Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Orlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Gol in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Stat Veritas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edvaldo Coelho lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 25th minute, Edvaldo Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Pereira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Maore in the 26th minute. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. José Paulo Almeida hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Zarubin in the 35th minute of play forced Stat Veritas FC's goalkeeper Hernan Orlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Stat Veritas FC's Justino Faro got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Jailson Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Maore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Ferrer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Pereira having to make a save. Miguel Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Calixto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Jailson Cearense couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stat Veritas FC. Márcio Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Urtungo in the 74th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Antonio Gol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stat Veritas FC the free kick. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Antonio Gol hit a great ball. Stat Veritas FC's Hernan Orlin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Stat Veritas FC from getting a goal against them. After 89 played minutes Stat Veritas FC got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Urtungo. Tobias Urtungo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Miguel Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Gaxan in the 93rd minute of play.
