The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lourenço Bacelar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caitano Crespo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Aristides Perdigão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Terceirense F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of C.F Intercity booed when Terceirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avelino Padilha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Terceirense F.C.'s zone, Caitano Crespo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Bacelar came out of the goal and Caitano Crespo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tobias Guterres fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Terceirense F.C.'s protests and gave Tobias Guterres a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of C.F Intercity booed when Terceirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Guterres didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fernan Crespo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baleren Ocaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Perdigão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cerilo Sanz came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lourenço Bacelar could save by the left post. After 26 minutes, Mauro Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.F Intercity and the Terceirense F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, C.F Intercity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Silva to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Cerilo Sanz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lourenço Bacelar. Cerilo Sanz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Ekain Bajo charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ekain Bajo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, C.F Intercity's Ekain Bajo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caitano Crespo in the 37th minute of play forced Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Lourenço Bacelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flávio Sacramento's late challenge caught a C.F Intercity's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flávio Sacramento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Flávio Sacramento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Fernan Crespo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Bacelar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Crespo in the 43rd minute of play forced Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Lourenço Bacelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kevin De la Torre made a kick off. Lourenço Bacelar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Terceirense F.C.'s Lourenço Bacelar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caitano Crespo in the 57th minute of play. Lourenço Bacelar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Crespo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When C.F Intercity's Kevin De la Torre in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Terceirense F.C.'s David Aveiro was substituted for Aristides Perdigão. Angelo Guerreiro hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Kevin De la Torre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís França during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Terceirense F.C.'s Lourenço Bacelar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin De la Torre in the 85th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.F Intercity fans cheered their team off the field, for while Terceirense F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
