After 18 played minutes, AKHisaR's Arslan Çubukcu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frederik Faurbye came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AKHisaR reached it. Frans Levysohn hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Bahattin Zühtü took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frederik Faurbye. Randers A.F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Ahmet Necdet Baştugay made a precise shot to the right of Frederik Faurbye. Randers A.F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Keld Dons hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Svenning Westin charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svenning Westin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 42 minutes into the game, one of Randers A.F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronald Forthoft to make the kick off. Kaj Rubaun's late challenge caught a AKHisaR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaj Rubaun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Randers A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Rubaun to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AKHisaR getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Mustafa Emrah Ulusoy hit a great ball. The supporters of Randers A.F.C. booed when AKHisaR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Emrah Ulusoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peker Baycan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Forthoft in the 64th minute of the match. Ahmet Necdet Baştugay took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederik Faurbye. Frederik Faurbye dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. AKHisaR made a substitution. Ahmet Nasir Cihangir replaced Anıl Baran Duran. If Arif Tugay Değirmencioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederik Faurbye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Necdet Baştugay in the 76th minute of the match. Peker Baycan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Ejaas, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Ahmet Necdet Baştugay scored 1-6 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederik Faurbye, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frederik Faurbye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Necdet Baştugay in the 94th minute of the match. Mustafa Emrah Ulusoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Frederik Faurbye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The AKHisaR players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
