Pedro Paulo da Silveira took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jardel Falcão. Jardel Falcão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, Maraponga FAC's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Prata came free, but Jardel Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Sebastião Furtado made a precise shot to the right of Jardel Falcão. Maraponga FAC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The supporters of GLADIADORES booed when Maraponga FAC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Rubens Monteiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jardel Falcão. Maraponga FAC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubens Monteiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Jardel Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Furtado in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Furtado to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Maraponga FAC's Luizinho Mota got a free kick in the 46th minute.

GLADIADORES's Jefferson Freire was substituted for José Paulo Magalhães. If Rubens Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 minutes, Luizinho Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maraponga FAC and the GLADIADORES players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Maraponga FAC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luizinho Mota hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Sebastião Furtado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Jardel Falcão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the match, Sebastião Furtado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jardel Falcão. Maraponga FAC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastião Furtado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Sebastião Furtado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Jardel Falcão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Maraponga FAC's Luizinho de Queirós got a free kick in the 70th minute. Sebastião Furtado succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-6. When Ronaldinho Bittencourt fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GLADIADORES's protests and gave Ronaldinho Bittencourt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. Sebastião Furtado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Jardel Falcão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
