Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Menno Hoogendorp started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to FC Inter Sibiu getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Iurie Toader hit a great ball. After 3 minutes of play, Verwachting's Hans van Gaal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horia Crăciunescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horia Crăciunescu came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Verwachting's Menno Hoogendorp. But to his dismay, Menno Hoogendorp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Horia Crăciunescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menno Hoogendorp in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Dirk Rensenbrink cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Horia Crăciunescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Horia Crăciunescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Vaalman, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 20 minutes, Marcu Mitu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Inter Sibiu and the Verwachting players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcu Mitu kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Ron Lammers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Toader, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Menno Hoogendorp in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horia Crăciunescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Sibiu's Dragoş Cîrțu got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Oscar Vaalman notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of FC Inter Sibiu's Horia Crăciunescu. Horia Crăciunescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dirk Rensenbrink took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horia Crăciunescu. Horia Crăciunescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 36th minute, Iurie Toader hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Verwachting fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Verwachting's Oscar Vaalman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Horia Crăciunescu came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Verwachting's Oscar Vaalman. But to his dismay, Oscar Vaalman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 46th minute Menno Hoogendorp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horia Crăciunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Wilfred Bemmel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verwachting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Inter Sibiu the free kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iurie Toader to make the kick off. Horia Crăciunescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Vaalman in the 51st minute. Horia Crăciunescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans van Gaal in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Ferdi Dol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horia Crăciunescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Marcu Mitu might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ron Lammers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcu Mitu ran back to his position shaking his head. Horia Crăciunescu was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Hans van Gaal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hans van Gaal really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. Ferdi Dol hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. FC Inter Sibiu's Horia Crăciunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans van Gaal in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Verwachting's Hans van Gaal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Horia Crăciunescu. Horia Crăciunescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. Horia Crăciunescu was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Menno Hoogendorp capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Menno Hoogendorp really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. 88 minutes into the match, FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Horia Crăciunescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans van Gaal. When Iurie Toader was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. Iurie Toader hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Dirk Rensenbrink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Horia Crăciunescu made a huge save. Verwachting's Ferdi Dol suffered a sore thigh after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Marcu Mitu was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Verwachting's Ramon Matthijs was substituted for Ferdi Dol. The supporters of Verwachting booed when FC Inter Sibiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcu Mitu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Verwachting could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Inter Sibiu throughout the match.
