The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Antonio Spoelbergs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Olívio Romero made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Yanniek Wellens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purple Talents's supporters rose to their feet, but Yanniek Wellens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christoph Hagemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glauco Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christoph Hagemans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olívio Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Libreghts in the 28th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Yanniek Wellens took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Olívio Romero to make any attempt to save it. Antonio Spoelbergs in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olívio Romero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Christoph Hagemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Freire in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, FC La Masia's goal looked a bit too open when Diederick Struelens came free, but Olívio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Spoelbergs was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Antonio Spoelbergs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purple Talents fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Olívio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diederick Struelens in the 57th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yanniek Wellens during the 63rd minute. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Diederick Struelens put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Olívio Romero. When João Paulo Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC La Masia's protests and gave João Paulo Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes FC La Masia got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Lucas. Jasper Libreghts took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olívio Romero. FC La Masia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, FC La Masia's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Spoelbergs came free, but Olívio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Purple Talents fully deserved thier win.
