The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tim Rohe scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serge Koryan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute Wladimir Hattenbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serge Koryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Rohe scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serge Koryan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute Jarrod Redd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gasparo Müller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goal looked a bit too open when Lothar Gobsch came free, but Serge Koryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goal looked a bit too open when Wladimir Hattenbach came free, but Serge Koryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarrod Redd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Ante Kopitz got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of DJK Füchtel Vechta booed when Khachatryan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny MacDowell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lothar Gobsch kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Serge Koryan. That made the score 2-3 in the 58 minute of play. After 62 played minutes DJK Füchtel Vechta got a freekick which was hit by Jamal Gläsel. When Jed Strickland came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Khachatryan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jed Strickland couldn't finish the play. Olin Aranda's late challenge caught a DJK Füchtel Vechta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olin Aranda helped the player get up and apologised. Olin Aranda kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Keith Arden charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keith Arden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. DJK Füchtel Vechta made a substitution. Steffen Kracht replaced Arthur Rademacher. After 69 played minutes Khachatryan got a freekick which was hit by Keith Arden. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Wladimir Hattenbach came free and shot a quick shot against goal 74 minutes in the game, fortunately Serge Koryan had problems saving as it came toward the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wladimir Hattenbach in the 76th minute of play forced Khachatryan's goalkeeper Serge Koryan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jed Strickland might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gasparo Müller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jed Strickland ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarrod Redd in the 79th minute of play forced DJK Füchtel Vechta's goalkeeper Gasparo Müller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serge Koryan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tim Rohe went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Gasparo Müller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jed Strickland in the 88th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Jamal Gläsel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serge Koryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jed Strickland in the 95th minute of play forced DJK Füchtel Vechta's goalkeeper Gasparo Müller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched DJK Füchtel Vechta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
