Matheus Paiva guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopoldo Linares during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Psiu! got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Linares. Matheus Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Bobei in the 8th minute of the match. Gigi Bobei scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matheus Paiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Costel Gurgui hit a great ball. Matheus Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Bănățeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Lucian Şimonca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucian Şimonca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 18 minutes, Felix Mihăilescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca and the Psiu! players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Psiu! booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Mihăilescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Félix in the 20th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Valer Onișoru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valer Onișoru had great luck who in the 20thth minute grab hold of the ball when Osvaldinho Félix from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Iurie Bănățeanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matheus Paiva having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Gigi Bobei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matheus Paiva was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After 26 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Macaneață. In the 28th minute Codruț Macaneață shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Elano Vander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valer Onișoru was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Matheus Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Bobei in the 31st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Elano Vander kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valer Onișoru. That made the score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. Matheus Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Bănățeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Codruț Macaneață took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matheus Paiva. Matheus Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Felix Mihăilescu hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldinho Félix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Psiu!'s zone, Codruț Macaneață stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matheus Paiva came out of the goal and Codruț Macaneață tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Codruț Macaneață blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matheus Paiva having to make a save. Matheus Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Bănățeanu in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th play minute Codruț Macaneață came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Matheus Paiva. 2-3. Psiu!'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Felix Mihăilescu scored to the left of an out of position Matheus Paiva, making the score, 2-4. Valer Onișoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldinho Félix in the 69th minute of play. Iurie Bănățeanu struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Matheus Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca. Codruț Macaneață fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Paiva having to interfere. Matheus Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Bănățeanu in the 87th minute of play. After 90 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Silver Phoenix. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
