Isaias Tabby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Botello in the 12th minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Ruy Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Faron in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Giuseppe Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16thth minute of the game Conrado Faron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portuguesa's Ruy Goiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Vaqueteros FC's Sergio Emeterio to fire away a dangerous shot which Ruy Goiano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Conrado Faron sped through Portuguesa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ruy Goiano. After having played for 30 minutes, Conrado Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaqueteros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Faron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Luciano Cordario came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Vaqueteros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Cordario couldn't finish the play. In the 40th match minute, Vaqueteros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Botello to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Oscar Seco made the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremias Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vaqueteros FC booed when Portuguesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Goiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Cordario's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Conrado Faron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portuguesa's Ruy Goiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Conrado Faron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Goiano having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Vaqueteros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Faron to maneuver through the defense. After 72 minutes, Ciriaco Cordarrol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vaqueteros FC and the Portuguesa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ciriaco Cordarrol didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's Jeremias Mesquita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaias Tabby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcelo Marin hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portuguesa's goalkeeper Ruy Goiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Sergio Emeterio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ruy Goiano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Vaqueteros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Cordario didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrado Faron in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruy Goiano saved Portuguesa from getting behind. Oscar Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Tabby having to interfere. Conrado Faron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ruy Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Luciano Cordario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruy Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Faron in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vaqueteros FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
