Eibar 09-12-18's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 17 de enero team the free kick. Nicanor Joanes hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match Eibar 09-12-18 got a corner. 17 de enero team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicanor Joanes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Robustiano Lordi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but 17 de enero team's Melquiades Tome did a great save. Justino Abadia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Llope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Orzaize hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Lino Esiquio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Tome was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Melquiades Tome came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Eibar 09-12-18's Clemente Romero. But to his dismay, Clemente Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 29th match minute, 17 de enero team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Irrintzi to maneuver through the defense. Donato Tabor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Justino Abadia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geronimo Tadzio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Justino Abadia made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, Eibar 09-12-18's Lino Esiquio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Melquiades Tome narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lino Esiquio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Melquiades Tome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Clemente Romero came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Eibar 09-12-18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Romero couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Robustiano Lordi had to leave the field with a concussion. Eibar 09-12-18 made a substitution. Evaristo Loi replaced Robustiano Lordi. The supporters of Eibar 09-12-18 booed when 17 de enero team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Vellito didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Eibar 09-12-18 were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Melquiades Tome stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Esiquio's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. With a little luck, 17 de enero team's Melquiades Tome got control of the ball when Clemente Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eibar 09-12-18's goalkeeper Justino Abadia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Bernabe Vellito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicanor Joanes struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Melquiades Tome didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eibar 09-12-18. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Norberto Irrintzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. 17 de enero team's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Irrintzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Abadia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Eibar 09-12-18 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
