Torcato Carneiro's late challenge caught a Flan Mixto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torcato Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6thth minute of the game Placido Lando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Exército Português's Fábio Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Flan Mixto FC's goalkeeper Jairo Bonifaco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tarcísio Alvarenga. Fábio Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Chuse in the 11th minute of play. Manuel Flores took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Bonifaco. Jairo Bonifaco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 23rd minute of the match, Manuel Flores tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jairo Bonifaco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Flan Mixto FC's Jairo Bonifaco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Prates in the 24th minute of play. If Ivan Barcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Bonifaco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Flores, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Bonifaco came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Ivan Prates. But to his dismay, Ivan Prates quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jairo Bonifaco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Barcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flan Mixto FC were furious when Enrique Xabier was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Flan Mixto FC's Enrique Xabier got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flan Mixto FC's goalkeeper Jairo Bonifaco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Chuse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Flores took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Bonifaco. Jairo Bonifaco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcísio Alvarenga in the 59th minute of play forced Flan Mixto FC's goalkeeper Jairo Bonifaco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Flan Mixto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Flores came free, but Jairo Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Chuse kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 minutes Flan Mixto FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Homero Quadros who took care of the corner kick. In the 89th minute, Francisco Durães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute Manuel Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Bonifaco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Homero Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Exército Português players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
