The supporters of FCSB CUENCA booed when ⚽Aston Punat⚽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Žabka didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes ⚽Aston Punat⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Luděk Šturma. A hard shot 14 in the game by Jaroslav Domanský from a close distance when the talented Xano Menendez managed to make a qualified save. FCSB CUENCA's players were relieved. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Desiderio Martinez hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alois Sieber got free with Xano Menendez in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Milan Plášil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milan Plášil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Xano Menendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Jaroslav Domanský shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xano Menendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduard Hůrka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Zărnescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 34 minutes of play, ⚽Aston Punat⚽'s Jaroslav Domanský made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xano Menendez was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Norbert Hurt fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ⚽Aston Punat⚽'s protests and gave Norbert Hurt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Norbert Hurt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the game, one of ⚽Aston Punat⚽:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for FCSB CUENCA. Cipriano Morales stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eduard Hůrka. 1-2. After the first half FCSB CUENCA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcio Carreira made a kick off. Marcio Carreira kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 51stth minute. Though ot was a great shot ⚽Aston Punat⚽'s keeper Eduard Hůrka was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Eduard Hůrka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Zărnescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Marcio Carreira put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Eduard Hůrka. Eduard Hůrka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcio Carreira in the 62nd minute of play. Ionel Zărnescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Hůrka having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcio Carreira in the 70th minute of play forced ⚽Aston Punat⚽'s goalkeeper Eduard Hůrka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the FCSB CUENCA defense, Jaroslav Domanský kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xano Menendez. The FCSB CUENCA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xano Menendez should have stopped the shot. Marcio Carreira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eduard Hůrka came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcio Carreira slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 91st minute. Vladimír Plavec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle went the supporters of FCSB CUENCA were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant ⚽Aston Punat⚽ side.
