Maicon Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ekzema F.V.'s Maicon Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arévalo Miñaca in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Elias Villon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona de América and the Ekzema F.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maicon Linhares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arévalo Miñaca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Barcelona de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Amaya to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barcelona de América's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedro Luís de Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Ekzema F.V.'s players had a chance to rest. In the 34th minute, one of Ekzema F.V.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ekzema F.V.. Arévalo Miñaca charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arévalo Miñaca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Barcelona de América's Arévalo Miñaca got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 42 minutes, Carlos Fernando Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ekzema F.V. and the Barcelona de América players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Fernando Novaes hit a great ball. After 57 minutes, Arévalo Miñaca made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ekzema F.V.'s Maicon Linhares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arévalo Miñaca in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maicon Linhares saved Ekzema F.V. from getting behind. Gilmar Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Batista in the 68th minute of the match. When Arévalo Miñaca came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Barcelona de América fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arévalo Miñaca couldn't finish the play. The Barcelona de América fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Barcelona de América's Arévalo Miñaca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
