Jack Saunders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Cirone having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Ennio Totaro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for John Paul Metcalfe to make any attempt to save it. Dale Dingle kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, AC Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio Totaro to maneuver through the defense. Cosimo Maccarone's late challenge caught a Gone With the Win's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosimo Maccarone helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes AC Roma got a freekick which was hit by Cosimo Maccarone.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jack Saunders to make the kick off. Carlo Cirone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Saunders's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes AC Roma's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was John Nelson who took care of the corner kick. John Paul Metcalfe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Barresi in the 70th minute of play. John Paul Metcalfe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Totaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of Gone With the Win booed when AC Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ennio Totaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes of play, Gone With the Win's Jack Saunders made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlo Cirone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gez Wendon hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Jack Saunders's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Carlo Cirone skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gone With the Win's Jack Saunders slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlo Cirone. That made the score 1-4 after 92 minutes of play. Gone With the Win's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
