Gunter Aebli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Vincent Arvidsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Timon Gmür managed to get in a good position for a shot. ARAPONGAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Timon Gmür was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincent Arvidsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignaz Clementia got free with Vincent Arvidsson in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, ARAPONGAS's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Termander came free, but Gilberto Pauli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ARAPONGAS booed when Övertorneå RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliott Termander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Tobias Zulle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunter Aebli in the 27th minute of play forced Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Vincent Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Övertorneå RK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Elliott Termander hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, ARAPONGAS's Gunter Aebli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vincent Arvidsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Ignaz Clementia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vincent Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunter Aebli in the 33rd minute of play. ARAPONGAS's Gilberto Pauli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Karlsson in the 37th minute of play. Timon Gmür received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vincent Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, ARAPONGAS's Gianni Hager ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vincent Arvidsson. Vincent Arvidsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. ARAPONGAS's Gunter Aebli got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gunter Aebli to strike the kick off in the second half. Timon Gmür sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ARAPONGAS made a substitution. Gaetano Uliassi replaced Tobias Zulle. ARAPONGAS's Tobi Eichelberger was substituted for Gianni Hager. The audience was convinced that Gunter Aebli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vincent Arvidsson was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Ignaz Clementia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. But to his dismay, Tobi Eichelberger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Vincent Arvidsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobi Eichelberger in the 95th minute of the match. Vincent Arvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunter Aebli, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that ARAPONGAS were the better team. ARAPONGAS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
