Yorrick Hekman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SK Annenieki's zone, Sjaak Degens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilis Bura came out of the goal and Sjaak Degens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute Sjaak Degens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilis Bura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sjaak Degens in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vilis Bura saved SK Annenieki from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Buitenhout FC's zone, Toms Blīdumnieks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Mihoc came out of the goal and Toms Blīdumnieks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artis Udots during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, SK Annenieki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artis Udots to maneuver through the defense. The Buitenhout FC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Buitenhout FC's Yorrick Hekman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Yorrick Hekman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Vilis Bura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vilis Bura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sjaak Degens's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Sjaak Degens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilis Bura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes, Sarmis Palkavnieks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Annenieki and the Buitenhout FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SK Annenieki getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sarmis Palkavnieks hit a great ball. After some careless play in the SK Annenieki defense, Sjaak Degens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vilis Bura. The SK Annenieki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vilis Bura should have stopped the shot. SK Annenieki's Vilis Bura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yorrick Hekman in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Buitenhout FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yorrick Hekman made a kick off. Yorrick Hekman in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vilis Bura, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Buitenhout FC's Yorrick Hekman in 52 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vilis Bura guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Sjaak Degens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vilis Bura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael van Zeggeren in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Buitenhout FC booed when SK Annenieki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toms Blīdumnieks didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sjaak Degens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vilis Bura. That made the score 0-5 in the 65 minute of play. The Buitenhout FC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Buitenhout FC's Sjaak Degens looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. SK Annenieki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buitenhout FC the free kick. After 92 played minutes SK Annenieki got a freekick which was hit by Konrāds Konča. After having played for 94 minutes, Sjaak Degens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buitenhout FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sjaak Degens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Toms Blīdumnieks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Buitenhout FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
