After 5 minutes of play, Forest Green's Florentino Piarres made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guido Herrera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Forest Green's Domingos Dolcet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis González in the 12th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Alexis González had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingos Dolcet. Forest Green's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexis González was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. MARTINETA's Guido Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Osasun in the 16th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Forest Green's Florentino Piarres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guido Herrera. That made the score 2-1 after 17 minutes of play. Guido Herrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Iruinea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guido Herrera had great luck who in the 20thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jacobo Iruinea from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 21st minute, Isidro Virila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MARTINETA's Guido Herrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save MARTINETA from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Jacobo Iruinea took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Guido Herrera to make any attempt to save it. Guido Herrera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florentino Piarres went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Enzo Gora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Iruinea came free, but Guido Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of MARTINETA booed when Forest Green was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Reynardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Enzo Gora notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of MARTINETA's Guido Herrera. Guido Herrera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Forest Green's Angelo Mogel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guido Herrera. That made the score 6-1 after 43 minutes of play. 47 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Gora came free, but Guido Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacobo Iruinea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Domingos Dolcet made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Alexis González sent off a good shot on target. 54 minutes into the match, Forest Green's goalkeeper Domingos Dolcet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexis González. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Junior Ramiro during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, MARTINETA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Nesto to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Ovidio Reynardo notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of MARTINETA's Guido Herrera. Guido Herrera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angelo Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Herrera having to interfere. Alexis González fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Dolcet having to interfere. If Jacobo Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Forest Green walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
