The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Kaká Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Dolcet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Florentino Piarres made a precise shot to the right of Osvaldo Vergílio. MUSHIBA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Florentino Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldo Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Gaueko, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 19 minutes, Albertinho Guimarães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MUSHIBA FC and the Forest Green players grew even worse after the yellow card. Osvaldo Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Piarres in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rafa Alves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domingos Dolcet was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Osvaldo Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Iruinea, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Rafa Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingos Dolcet. Forest Green's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafa Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Florentino Piarres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Vergílio having to interfere. After 33rd play minutes Florentino Piarres shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Osvaldo Vergílio and just under the crossbar into goal. Fabio Totakoxe charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabio Totakoxe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Domingos Dolcet had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Albertinho Guimarães's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After the first half Forest Green were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Claudinho Tande made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Tande in the 52nd minute of play forced Forest Green's goalkeeper Domingos Dolcet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafa Alves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domingos Dolcet having to make a save. Domingos Dolcet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Claudinho Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Forest Green's Domingos Dolcet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Alves in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Forest Green's zone, Claudinho Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Dolcet came out of the goal and Claudinho Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domingos Dolcet came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by MUSHIBA FC's Vitório Paraense. But to his dismay, Vitório Paraense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Vitório Paraense took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domingos Dolcet. Domingos Dolcet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Paraense in the 83rd minute of play forced Forest Green's goalkeeper Domingos Dolcet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Rafa Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Vitório Paraense notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Forest Green's Domingos Dolcet. Domingos Dolcet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. MUSHIBA FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Forest Green for much of the match.
