The corner led to Forest Green's Nereo Gaueko getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 29th minute, Forest Green's Jacobo Iruinea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Orhun İltemur. Orhun İltemur yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 38thth minute of the game Cemil Aksungur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forest Green's Domingos Dolcet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Domingos Dolcet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Giggs, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Mehmet Bedri Korhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Bedri Korhan in the 45th minute of play forced Forest Green's goalkeeper Domingos Dolcet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Adam King hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidio Reynardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orhun İltemur having to make a save. Domingos Dolcet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Figo in the 92nd minute of the match. Forest Green's Domingos Dolcet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Figo in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Forest Green had won after a very even match.
