Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Francisco Ralondo kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Marcos Akerman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fernando Ruisko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Obrero Barquisimeto's Arne Teuben got control of the ball when Martin Berbiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Francisco Ralondo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arne Teuben. Francisco Ralondo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 14th minute, Severino Bruna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Obrero Barquisimeto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 19th minute Severino Bruna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Ruisko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Bruna in the 21st minute of the match. When Osvaldo Lodeña fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Obrero Barquisimeto's protests and gave Osvaldo Lodeña a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Obrero Barquisimeto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Lodeña to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Ruisko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Pato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, Carolo Lope was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Millo de Haedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Obrero Barquisimeto the free kick. The supporters of Obrero Barquisimeto booed when El Millo de Haedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Berbiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Pato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Ruisko having to interfere. Fernando Ruisko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Pato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Ruisko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Akerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, El Millo de Haedo's Lázaro Oto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arne Teuben. Arne Teuben yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 48th minute Marcos Akerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Akerman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Marcos Akerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Ruisko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Akerman in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute Lázaro Oto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Teuben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fernando Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcos Akerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Bruna got free with Fernando Ruisko in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Ruisko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Bruna in the 67th minute of play. Anier Christobal hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Obrero Barquisimeto's Stalin Riquelme was substituted for Roberto Pato. After 70 played minutes El Millo de Haedo got a freekick which was hit by Anier Christobal. Arne Teuben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Berbiz in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, El Millo de Haedo's Fernando Ruisko got control of the ball when Severino Bruna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Obrero Barquisimeto's Arne Teuben played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Ralondo in the 79th minute of play. Fernando Ruisko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Bruna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Bruna in the 81st minute of play forced El Millo de Haedo's goalkeeper Fernando Ruisko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Millo de Haedo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Severino Bruna scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Ruisko, making the score, 2-3. A collision led to Obrero Barquisimeto getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca hit a great ball. Marcos Akerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Ruisko having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Marcos Akerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stalin Riquelme received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernando Ruisko came out and tried to block the shot, but Stalin Riquelme slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 95th minute. When the match was over Obrero Barquisimeto could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Millo de Haedo throughout the match.
