An unexpectedly hard shot by Muharrem Kahveci in the 9th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Otávio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Vefa Hadi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper Kerimhan Bürge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júlio Pena. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Pena got free with Kerimhan Bürge in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Vefa Hadi hit a great ball. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alfredinho Pimenta hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Ulu Gürçınar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Otávio Massa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Otávio Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vefa Hadi in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper Kerimhan Bürge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimir de Almeida. In the 39th minute, Luís Eduardo de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otávio Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulu Gürçınar in the 40th minute of the match. Otávio Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vefa Hadi in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Ziemowit Ryback was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Danone CC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ the free kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fausto Senna made the kick off in the second half. Kerimhan Bürge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Danone CC's zone, Ulu Gürçınar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otávio Massa came out of the goal and Ulu Gürçınar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Danone CC's Otávio Massa got control of the ball when Muharrem Kahveci tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danone CC's Otávio Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Danone CC from getting a goal against them. The corner led Danone CC's Ziemowit Ryback to fire away a dangerous shot which Kerimhan Bürge despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kerimhan Bürge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Pena in the 71st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Senna in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kerimhan Bürge saved Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ from getting behind. Muharrem Kahveci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Kerimhan Bürge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Pena in the 77th minute of play. Kerimhan Bürge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Åke Kilstedt in the 80th minute of the match. Fausto Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danone CC made a substitution. Cristian Hoffmann replaced Luís Eduardo de Alcântara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vefa Hadi in the 90th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Otávio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Mehmet Bedri Tengizalp hit a great ball. Ziemowit Ryback was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
