The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Dudu de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the YESHUA F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudu de Andrade couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Rodríguez in the 8th minute of play forced YESHUA F.C's goalkeeper Emílio Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that James Rodríguez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Fernandes was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the game, YESHUA F.C's Dudu de Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dudu de Andrade took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arlindo Rossi. After the first half YESHUA F.C were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lenílson Leite to make the kick off. Emílio Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Rodríguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dudu de Andrade 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Ismael Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Rossi having to interfere. The supporters of YESHUA F.C booed when └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Arlindo Rossi got control of the ball when Simão Lira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind YESHUA F.C's goalkeeper Emílio Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, YESHUA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Peixoto came free, but Emílio Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Rodríguez in the 88th minute of play forced YESHUA F.C's goalkeeper Emílio Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Arlindo Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
