The supporters of Caaguazu booed when Encanto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Arlo Albiz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rich Barth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardinho Lopez's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ricardinho Lopez sped through Caaguazu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rich Barth. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arlo Albiz got free with Egídio Matorin in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Ricardinho Lopez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rich Barth. Caaguazu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardinho Lopez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 22 minutes into the game, Caaguazu's Miro Olivos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egídio Matorin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Daniel Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reyes Barcenilla during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st minute, Reyes Barcenilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Egídio Matorin managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Caaguazu's Arlo Albiz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 37 minutes into the match, Encanto's goalkeeper Egídio Matorin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reyes Barcenilla. 39 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Rocha came free, but Rich Barth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlo Albiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egídio Matorin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arlo Albiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Betão Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Egídio Matorin made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Daniel Rojas sent off a good shot on target. The Encanto fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Encanto's Osvaldinho Rocha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arlo Albiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Caaguazu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reyes Barcenilla to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Rocha came free, but Rich Barth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardinho Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rich Barth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play, Caaguazu's Daniel Rojas made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Matorin was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gabriel Labiada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Caaguazu booed when Encanto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Arlo Albiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Egídio Matorin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute, Arlo Albiz made a precise shot to the right of Egídio Matorin. Encanto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. In the 90th minute, Daniel Rojas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 91st minute of the match Betão Sena completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Betão Sena a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Kismi Sierralta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Matorin having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Daniel Rojas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egídio Matorin was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Encanto defense, Kismi Sierralta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egídio Matorin. The Encanto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egídio Matorin should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Caaguazu had played much better football throughout.
