In the 13th minute Guillen Aballe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Criston Abendano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Robinho de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cordeara Abenda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho de Sena having to interfere. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Robinho de Sena made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Odol Abancens sent off a good shot on target. Alfredinho Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Criston Abendano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional Potosí's supporters crossed their fingers, but Criston Abendano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The Nacional Potosí fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The supporters of Nacional Potosí booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Cordeara Abenda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Criston Abendano charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Criston Abendano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Criston Abendano kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Guillen Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
