The ball went over the crossbar instead. UFC STEAUA's João Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Gentiletti in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Jacobo Froila made a precise shot to the right of João Massa. UFC STEAUA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Demetrio Di Franco hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. UFC STEAUA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Jacobo Froila scored to the left of an out of position João Massa, making the score, 3-0. Jacobo Froila's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, João Massa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper João Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 36 minutes UFC STEAUA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santiago Gentiletti who took care of the corner kick. Santiago Gentiletti made a great header on Anjullan AFC's corner, it was just that UFC STEAUA's João Massa managed to reach the ball for a save. João Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Froila in the 37th minute. João Massa was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Jacobo Froila capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jacobo Froila really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Jacobo Froila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Jobo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the game Dorin Cercelescu made a throw-in which Hermengildo Jobo played forward. With a little luck, Anjullan AFC's Dalmacio Paublo got control of the ball when Hermengildo Jobo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 53 minutes Anjullan AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Demetrio Di Franco who took care of the corner kick. After 60 played minutes Anjullan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Gentiletti. Alin Davidescu kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jacobo Froila might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacobo Froila ran back to his position shaking his head. João Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Froila in the 64th minute of play. Jacobo Froila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Massa having to interfere. Jacobo Froila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 78th minute, Feliciano Iratxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anjullan AFC's Orlando Millrick was substituted for Feliciano Iratxo. UFC STEAUA's João Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Benat in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Cercelescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Nisipeanu to maneuver through the defense. Amancio Benat scored 7-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Anjullan AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while UFC STEAUA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
