A collision led to MZ Fénix getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Nicolas Queirós hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kylian Henry in the 10th minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Silvério Vasconcelos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermis Chatzis. ΠΑΟΚ FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvério Vasconcelos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Silvério Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermis Chatzis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Américo Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 minutes, Alexis Stratigakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ΠΑΟΚ FC and the MZ Fénix players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of MZ Fénix booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Stratigakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the ΠΑΟΚ FC defense, Silvério Vasconcelos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermis Chatzis. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermis Chatzis should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Stratos Tzolis took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Delfim Vilas Boas to make any attempt to save it. Nuno Maltez kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Américo Vasconcelos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ermis Chatzis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half MZ Fénix were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvério Vasconcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ermis Chatzis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 59thth minute of the game Silvério Vasconcelos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ermis Chatzis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexis Stratigakis hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Silvério Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermis Chatzis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ermis Chatzis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save ΠΑΟΚ FC from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ermis Chatzis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Stratigakis in the 69th minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Delfim Vilas Boas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Silvério Vasconcelos notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ermis Chatzis. Ermis Chatzis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. From close distance Silvério Vasconcelos pressed in the 1-5 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 75 minutes into the game. In the 79th minute, Américo Vasconcelos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. ΠΑΟΚ FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Silvério Vasconcelos scored to the left of an out of position Ermis Chatzis, making the score, 1-6. MZ Fénix made a substitution. Lázaro Oliveira replaced Silvério Vasconcelos. In the 86th minute, Lázaro Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Lázaro Oliveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ermis Chatzis. Lázaro Oliveira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. 94 minutes into the game, Orestis Dourekas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ΠΑΟΚ FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MZ Fénix the free kick. In the 94th minute, Orestis Dourekas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filipe Mourato was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The ΠΑΟΚ FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching MZ Fénix's performance. The match ended with a win for MZ Fénix.
