After some careless play in the Cascadia United defense, Ambrose Keen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Gutierrez. The Cascadia United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Gutierrez should have stopped the shot. Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orval Crow in the 7th minute of play. Aureliano Rafel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Kearns having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Horace Vaughn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flames FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some careless play in the Cascadia United defense, Beau Hinojosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Gutierrez. The Cascadia United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Gutierrez should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Flames FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Orval Crow hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Aureliano Rafel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carrol McLean in the 30th minute of play. Dario Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carrol McLean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cascadia United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Micheal Burnham was slow to take the kick. During this time Flames FC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Cyril Cantrell heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a defensive mix-up in Flames FC's zone, Aureliano Rafel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donald Kearns came out of the goal and Aureliano Rafel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cascadia United's goalkeeper Dario Gutierrez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Orval Crow left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flames FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After the first half Flames FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ambrose Keen to make the kick off. With a little luck, Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez got control of the ball when Ambrose Keen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Flames FC's Horace Vaughn slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dario Gutierrez. That made the score 0-6 after 54 minutes of play. Aureliano Rafel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the game, Flames FC's Ambrose Keen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dario Gutierrez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. The audience was convinced that Ambrose Keen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Gutierrez was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Nemesio Raymond charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nemesio Raymond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes Cascadia United got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Raymond. Dario Gutierrez was a little too slow when Ambrose Keen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-8. Dario Gutierrez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Keven Lavallée's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carrol McLean got free with Dario Gutierrez in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cascadia United's goalie Dario Gutierrez was quick on his feet when Carrol McLean aimed and made a shot towards the top left corner. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. After a rather tough play, Cascadia United's Delmar Toro got a free kick in the 74th minute. Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrose Keen in the 76th minute of play. Bruno Romildo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Ambrose Keen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dario Gutierrez was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Micheal Burnham capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Micheal Burnham really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. With a little luck, Cascadia United's Dario Gutierrez got control of the ball when Berry Corley tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Flames FC fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Flames FC's Ambrose Keen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kermit Morris in the 94th minute of play forced Cascadia United's goalkeeper Dario Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flames FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
