Blumenau Esporte Clube's Giovani Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Gaur in the 30th minute of play. Victorino Kelemen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xandinho Sharkin in the 34th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, José Augusto Duarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Kelemen. Mazaredo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Augusto Duarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvaldo de Toledo got free with Victorino Kelemen in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Délio Gerber to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Arsenio Benítez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Giovani Tinoco. That made the score 1-1 in the 53 minute of play. Blumenau Esporte Clube's José Augusto Duarte suffered a concussion in the 57th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 57 minutes, Mariano Videl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mazaredo AFC and the Blumenau Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Blumenau Esporte Clube made a substitution. Vivaldo Paraíba replaced José Augusto Duarte. The supporters of Blumenau Esporte Clube booed when Mazaredo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Videl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazaredo AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
