The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when São Brás FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teófilo Lameiras didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, São Brás FC's Teófilo Lameiras got a free kick in the 13th minute. The Linköpings AIK fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Linköpings AIK's Bert Karlsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18th minute, Sílvio Candeias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 minutes of play, Linköpings AIK's Bert Karlsson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Belchior Boaventura was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the game, Sílvio Candeias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São Brás FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linköpings AIK the free kick. After a rather tough play, São Brás FC's Sílvio Candeias got a free kick in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arvid Carlsson in the 29th managed to get into a good position. In the 34th match minute, São Brás FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Malheiro to maneuver through the defense. Vilgot Palmquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Birger Gudmundsson put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Linköpings AIK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of São Brás FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, São Brás FC's Tomás Malheiro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vilgot Palmquist. George Gunnarsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belchior Boaventura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The São Brás FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Linköpings AIK were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Bert Karlsson made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bert Karlsson in the 54th minute of play forced São Brás FC's goalkeeper Belchior Boaventura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bert Karlsson in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Belchior Boaventura, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of São Brás FC booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Holmstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when São Brás FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bert Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bert Karlssons short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Belchior Boaventura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Belchior Boaventura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Gunnarsson in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Linköpings AIK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than São Brás FC.
