The audience thought a goal was coming when Fedor Ledohovich got free with Michele Rieger in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the match, Claudiu Bumba notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Galatasaray SK's Stanislav Kaiturov. Stanislav Kaiturov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute, Zelimir Amsel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Axenstein fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Axenstein's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Anatoliy Benediktov scored to the left of an out of position Michele Rieger, making the score, 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidor Bizier in the 34th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Stanislav Kaiturov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Axenstein's Claudiu Bumba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanislav Kaiturov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Galatasaray SK's Anatoliy Benediktov got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stanislav Kaiturov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidor Bizier, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half Axenstein were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fedor Ledohovich made a kick off. Stanislav Kaiturov was a little too slow when Claudiu Bumba got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-7. Claudiu Bumba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stanislav Kaiturov came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudiu Bumba slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 56th minute. Anton Nesterov got in the 60th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Michele Rieger handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Stanislav Kaiturov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudiu Bumba showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-9 in the 62 minute of play. Michele Rieger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatoliy Benediktov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanislav Kaiturov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Bumba, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute Anatoliy Benediktov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michele Rieger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanislav Kaiturov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Bumba in the 73rd minute of the match. Claudiu Bumba scored 1-10 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanislav Kaiturov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Galatasaray SK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. David Tsvetkov hit a great ball.
