An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Williams in the 18th minute of play forced Ice Valley FC's goalkeeper Tobias Oihenarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Jerry Williams sped through Ice Valley FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tobias Oihenarte. Ice Valley FC's Eriberto Gurutz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Melker Hjortsberg in the 22 minute of the game. Ice Valley FC's Tobias Oihenarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Keegan in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Kevin Keegan put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Tobias Oihenarte. Skövde AIK's Kurt Hamrin got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nereo Ledesma made a kick off. Jerry Williamss short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Tobias Oihenarte to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kurt Hamrin took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobias Oihenarte. In the 59th minute, Kurt Hamrin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skövde AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Tobias Oihenarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 62nd minute of play. Henrik Wennerquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Kurt Hamrin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ice Valley FC's Tobias Oihenarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Kevin Keegan put it in 0-12 from a short distance just to the right of Tobias Oihenarte. 91 minutes into the match, Ice Valley FC's goalkeeper Tobias Oihenarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerry Williams. Tobias Oihenarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerry Williams in the 93rd minute. Tobias Oihenarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerry Williams went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-13 was the resulting score.
