After 12 played minutes União Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto de Salles. Osvaldo Otsoko's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valdir Pérez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Osvaldo Otsoko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Valdir Pérez made a huge save. Isaac Adelsköld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Isaac Adelsköld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Isaac Adelsköld managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Stockholm's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Adelsköld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 43rd minute, Isaac Adelsköld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdir Pérez made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Osvaldo Otsoko sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Otsoko to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Gil Paiva sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and IFK Stockholm's Gunnar Granqvist didn't even have to move. Valdir Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Otsoko, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Osvaldo Otsoko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Valdir Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaac Adelsköld took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laércio Damião during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes União Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Damião. If Osvaldo Otsoko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Adelsköld in the 90th minute of play forced União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Osvaldo Otsoko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunnar Granqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto de Salles in the 95th minute of play.
