The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Olayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Hubert Sharp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Francesco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lupe Titus's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. A collision led to AFC Richmond getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Arnold Pruitt hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Hubert Sharp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Olayo. In the 19th minute, Maximino Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 minutes, Maximiliano Acevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tecka Viejo Nomás and the AFC Richmond players grew even worse after the yellow card. A hard and well directed shot from Fatsali Hamdi led 21 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Tecka Viejo Nomás's Joaquin Francesco became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Lupe Titus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Francesco. Tecka Viejo Nomás's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lupe Titus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 26th minute, Rolando Olayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tecka Viejo Nomás's zone, Brett Hull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Francesco came out of the goal and Brett Hull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lupe Titus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Joaquin Francesco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lupe Titus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Francesco having to make a save. Joaquin Francesco came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Richmond's Lupe Titus. But to his dismay, Lupe Titus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Lupe Titus put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Francesco. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 刘斌邦 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Maximino Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Preston Guzman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Brett Hull came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the AFC Richmond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brett Hull couldn't finish the play. Lupe Titus's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Joaquin Francesco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hubert Sharp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 刘斌邦, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lupe Titus took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Francesco. Joaquin Francesco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The audience was convinced that Lupe Titus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Francesco was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Lupe Titus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Francesco. That made the score 0-6 in the 88 minute of play. Lupe Titus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Francesco having to interfere. The Tecka Viejo Nomás fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AFC Richmond were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
