After 2 minutes, Thijs Hermensen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Real Leonana and the Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thijs Hermensen hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. If Izaak Stuifzand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Dorel Banu got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute FC Real Leonana were awarded a corner. Bruno Jurjens went to the cornerflag to take it. FC Real Leonana's Bruno Jurjens was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgar Vrânceanu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 18 minutes into the match, FC Real Leonana's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Tripon came free, but Koos Scheper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely booed when FC Real Leonana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luc Zegeling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Edgar Vrânceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely from getting a goal against them. Horea Turlea hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Luc Zegeling hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Dorel Banu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Nae Amuguroancei fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's protests and gave Nae Amuguroancei a yellow card for diving instead. Nae Amuguroancei hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Koos Scheper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Tripon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luc Zegeling during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Luc Zegeling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Real Leonana's goalkeeper Koos Scheper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Koos Scheper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugen Tripon's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Nae Amuguroancei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan Hendrik Paas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Nae Amuguroancei got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Izaak Stuifzand came free, but Edgar Vrânceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Tripon in the 54th minute of play forced FC Real Leonana's goalkeeper Koos Scheper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Hendrik Paas came free, but Edgar Vrânceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Vrânceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Hendrik Paas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gyula Hajnal got free with Koos Scheper in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Eugen Tripon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Koos Scheper stood somewhat misplaced when Eugen Tripon came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 79 minute. In the 83rd minute of the match Dorel Banu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Koos Scheper skillfully saved the ball. Gyula Hajnal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Koos Scheper when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 89 played minutes FC Real Leonana got a freekick which was hit by Govert Ricksen. A collision led to Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Gyula Hajnal hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Real Leonana.
