The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Villarreal Ubach made a precise shot to the right of Alexandros Petridis. FC NATIONAL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 8 minutes, Villarreal Ubach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porteño Prowess FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Villarreal Ubach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Urbano Muste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Porteño Prowess FC's Benjamin Cantolla got control of the ball when Octavian Popescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Villarreal Ubach took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandros Petridis. Alexandros Petridis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 18thth minute of the game Villarreal Ubach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC NATIONAL's Alexandros Petridis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Villarreal Ubach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexandros Petridis was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 24th minute Villarreal Ubach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandros Petridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Villarreal Ubach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexandros Petridis was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The corner led Porteño Prowess FC's Iustinian Oltean to fire away a dangerous shot which Alexandros Petridis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Villarreal Ubach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leukippos Vlachos in the 34th minute of play forced Porteño Prowess FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Cantolla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Villarreal Ubach ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandros Petridis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Villarreal Ubach in the 42nd minute of play forced FC NATIONAL's goalkeeper Alexandros Petridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Villarreal Ubach stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandros Petridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villarreal Ubach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Villarreal Ubach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the game, FC NATIONAL's Octavian Popescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Cantolla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 62 minutes into the match, Villarreal Ubach notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of FC NATIONAL's Alexandros Petridis. Alexandros Petridis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th match minute, FC NATIONAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Chivu to maneuver through the defense. Alexandros Petridis acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iustinian Oltean. Villarreal Ubach scored 2-5 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandros Petridis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alexandros Petridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villarreal Ubach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Villarreal Ubach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Porteño Prowess FC made a substitution. Villafuerte Aramoyana replaced Urbano Muste. Alexandros Petridis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 2-6. From close distance Villarreal Ubach pressed in the 2-7 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 86 minutes into the game. In the 92nd minute, Christian Chivu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
