Lennart Nordmark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Bela Negara made a huge save. The supporters of Peace Home Street Boys booed when Menang Kalah Tawuran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rusli Kosasih didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bela Negara made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when William Lundström sent off a good shot on target. Peace Home Street Boys's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by William Lundström in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rusli Kosasih in the 36th minute of play forced Peace Home Street Boys's goalkeeper Johnny Eskilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnny Eskilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buyung Amiruddin in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, William Lundström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peace Home Street Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but William Lundström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bela Negara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the game, Rusli Kosasih cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Johnny Eskilsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miša Campo kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Buyung Amiruddin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rusli Kosasih charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rusli Kosasih the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Menang Kalah Tawuran getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Rusli Kosasih hit a great ball. When Björn Walmarsson fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peace Home Street Boys's protests and gave Björn Walmarsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Peace Home Street Boys got a freekick which was hit by Björn Walmarsson. Zebastian Lind hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Peace Home Street Boys's zone, Rusli Kosasih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Eskilsson came out of the goal and Rusli Kosasih tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Daus Tanzil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Eskilsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Eskilsson made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Rusli Kosasih sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Peace Home Street Boys's Alvar Hedberg got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Peace Home Street Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Daus Tanzil came free, but Johnny Eskilsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lennart Nordmark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bela Negara having to interfere. Isnan Wanggai's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Johnny Eskilsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 78 played minutes Menang Kalah Tawuran got a freekick which was hit by Miša Campo. Rusli Kosasih hit a great ball. The Menang Kalah Tawuran supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Menang Kalah Tawuran would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
