The audience was convinced that Tadeusz Siekierka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petruț Muscă was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After 26 played minutes, Kernsdorf SSA's Lazaros Rota shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Petruț Muscă came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kernsdorf SSA reached it. Petruț Muscă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariusz Bondel in the 30th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Iriza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Zbyszek Kaider made a huge save. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eugen Carabulea hit a great ball. Zbyszek Kaider made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Carabulea in the 38th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Ionuț Năsturel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zbyszek Kaider quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 40 minutes into the match, Kernsdorf SSA's goalkeeper Zbyszek Kaider had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panait Aluneanu. Petruț Muscă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tadeusz Siekierka went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeusz Siekierka in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petruț Muscă saved FC Buzău from getting behind. After 55 minutes, Lucian Dejeu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Buzău and the Kernsdorf SSA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Lucian Dejeu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeusz Siekierka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kernsdorf SSA's José Guerreiro was substituted for Tadeusz Siekierka. Pavel Buculeasa kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Kernsdorf SSA were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after FC Buzău's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lazaros Rota took the corner. 71 minutes into the match, Kernsdorf SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Aluneanu came free, but Zbyszek Kaider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petruț Muscă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Buzău's goalkeeper Petruț Muscă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Kernsdorf SSA's corner Lazaros Rota fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Petruț Muscă quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kernsdorf SSA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
