After a rather tough play, Mixto Esporte Clube's Nilmar Lago got a free kick in the 34th minute. Albin Bergström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Antônio Carlos Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mixto Esporte Clube booed when Garphyttan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Hedvall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Egon Bratt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
