Kevin Kivaste made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Maxin Valonga scored 0-3 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kevin Kivaste, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Drunken Sea Monkeys's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Hoa came free, but Kevin Kivaste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Llanos Vinegra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Kivaste. Drunken Sea Monkeys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Llanos Vinegra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 18 minutes into the match, Bobby Cruz notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Drunken Sea Monkeys's Kevin Kivaste. Kevin Kivaste was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the game, Che Feliciano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Kevin Kivaste was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute, Drunken Sea Monkeys's Erki Aar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Erki Aar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Drunken Sea Monkeys protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Erki Aar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Atlético Municipal booed when Drunken Sea Monkeys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erki Aar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Cristian Acevedo in the 29th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Kevin Kivaste's left hand side. In the 34th minute, Maxin Valonga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. When Atlético Municipal's Llanos Vinegra in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Kevin Kivaste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Llanos Vinegra, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Cayetano Hoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevin Kivaste was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Disappointed in the 0-10 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henrik Tombak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Drunken Sea Monkeys's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Llanos Vinegra scored to the left of an out of position Kevin Kivaste, making the score, 0-11. If Bobby Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Atlético Municipal's Andoni Viguri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kevin Kivaste. Kevin Kivaste yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Che Feliciano in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Kivaste prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kevin Kivaste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Hoa in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Llanos Vinegra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-13. After 64 minutes of play, Atlético Municipal's Llanos Vinegra made it 0-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Kivaste was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Llanos Vinegra got free with Kevin Kivaste in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Municipal's Maxin Valonga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kevin Kivaste. That made the score 0-16 after 73 minutes of play. Atlético Municipal's Kinsen Calzado was substituted for Cristian Acevedo. Drunken Sea Monkeys's Kevin Kivaste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Hoa in the 78th minute of play. Kevin Kivaste made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maxin Valonga in the 79th minute. In the 81st play minute Maxin Valonga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kevin Kivaste. 0-17. 85 minutes into the game, Atlético Municipal's Che Feliciano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kevin Kivaste made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-18. Llanos Vinegra took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Kivaste. Kevin Kivaste dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-19. After some careless play in the Drunken Sea Monkeys defense, Llanos Vinegra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevin Kivaste. The Drunken Sea Monkeys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Kivaste should have stopped the shot. The Drunken Sea Monkeys fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlético Municipal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
