The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in ReD DeeRs's zone, Horia Caranică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Acar Memduh came out of the goal and Horia Caranică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Berkan İhsan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Şandru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Lucian Panțuru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Acar Memduh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 26 played minutes ReD DeeRs got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Nafiz Ertuna. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Dragoş Oloieru got a free kick in the 31st minute. Kıvanç Altıncığlu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Emil Şandru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kıvanç Altıncığlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Emil Şandru made a huge save. Acar Memduh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Oloieru in the 36th minute of play. If Horia Caranică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Panțuru in the 45th minute of play forced ReD DeeRs's goalkeeper Acar Memduh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

ReD DeeRs made a substitution. Oğuzhan Tenzil replaced Berkan İhsan. The wind increased when Dragoş Oloieru made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by kaya Özkut during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. kaya Özkut hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of ReD DeeRs booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Oloieru didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Dragoş Oloieru got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kıvanç Altıncığlu in the 61st minute of play forced Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Emil Şandru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acar Memduh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Caranică in the 67th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Progresul Pitesti's Dragoş Oloieru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Acar Memduh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. ReD DeeRs's Mümtazer Bilkan was substituted for Ahmet Nafiz Ertuna. After some careless play in the ReD DeeRs defense, Liviu Cezar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Acar Memduh. The ReD DeeRs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Acar Memduh should have stopped the shot. ReD DeeRs's Acar Memduh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save ReD DeeRs from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Lucian Panțuru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, ReD DeeRs's Mümtazer Bilkan got a free kick in the 89th minute. With a little luck, ReD DeeRs's Acar Memduh got control of the ball when Dragoş Oloieru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Acar Memduh was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Horia Caranică capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Horia Caranică really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Progresul Pitesti had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
